On Wednesday morning, Dave Bennett and Marcus Ashcroft from the Gold Coast Suns rode for about 30kms with the Blue boys. They were easy to talk to and easy to ride with and rode quite hard with the team at up to 50kms/hour. Their cycling skills were impressive. They were given a couple of MFB Cycling Club caps and they wished the team well on their journey.

Blue Team made a new best friend on Wednesday night in Pam from The Duck Inn Takeaway. After feeding the lads some great tucker, she offered (or was she sweet-talked?) to wash their clothes for them. Pam turned up at the caravan park later with all the boys’ gear washed, dried and neatly folded as her contribution to Pedal 4 Prostate.

The boys rode from Monto to Yaamba on Thursday they took in Gladstone and stopped at Reef City Ford to meet Chris Zagami who very kindly fixed a minor problem in one of the cars. The boys let Chris know how happy they were with the reliability of the Ford vehicles and that they felt very confident that Ford was going to get the team safely and comfortably from start to finish around our big country.
